Apostle Anim’s effort and faith yielded fruit by bringing Pastor McKeown to Ghana. Pastor McKeown became the apostle who taught Anim’s adherents. You cannot speak of Ghanaian Pentecostalism without mentioning these two apostles. They are the fathers of Ghanaian Pentecostalism. Although the issue of divine healing divided them, what many people do not know is that, Christ who was the centre of their ministries still bound them to together.
I read in one of the minutes of the Church of Pentecost in the 1950’s that as Pastor McKeown was praying he was prompted by the Holy Spirit to assist Apostle Anim in teaching his church leaders. He shared this with the apostles and prophets of the Church of Pentecost. Consequently he assisted Apostle Anim in teaching his church leadership.
The faith of Apostle Anim worked and many people followed him. The greatest result is the bursts and growth of The Christ Apostolic Church. The faith of Pastor. McKeown worked and many people followed him. The greatest results are the Apostolic Church and the Church of Pentecost. The ‘father’ of both churches is Apostle Peter Anim.
Ladies and Gentlemen If we consider how the Pentecostalism has taken 25% of Ghanaian population we have a cause to celebrate. We are grateful to God for the life of Apostle Anim. My prayer is that the faith of Apostle Anim which was centred on Christ and His power will be captured and reactivated by all Pentecostals, and that we will live to show that Christ is real and that He is alive today our in our lives.
