CASA Congress

As part of the activities of the Christ Apostolic Church International Calendar has also the National Youth and CASA Congress.  This year had a massive turnout at the Royal Parade Grounds of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology – Kumasi for the 4 day long Congress. This year’s congress was captivated by the theme STRETCH.

The Congress had the National executives, the National Coordinator and all the leaders and delegates from the campuses and local churches in Ghana. Well, I can’t be that better to stretch the excitement and the success of the program with the targeted population of 5000 participants. However, some of the activities treated under the theme included the talk “Why Stretch” by Apostle Joseph Sakyi (Christian Education Director) on day one.

Bargain for your future (The art of negotiation) was the talk to begin day two by Apostle Dr. E.O.K Donkor (General Secretary –CACI). The evening turned extra charged when Apostle Dr. Amoani spoke on the topic “The mantle of leadership.

The Saturday morning was a sparkling day. It was a muscle day. The congress committee put up a lot of sporting activities from the game of football, Tag of War, Table Tennis to the local games including Ampe, Ludu, Oware.

The afternoons were a seminar stretched from health talk, Time Management, Relationship talk and Career talk. These sections featured some dynamic young folks of this glorious church as speakers.

The whole show was brought to a climax on Sunday morning, the fourth and last day. The morning was flanked by the National Executive Council of the Church. Apostle Dr. Stephen Amoani on the pulpit spoke on the theme “STRETCH”. It was an atmosphere fully charged and so colourful with the delegate in the colourful CASA cloth.

The service was over before noon and we were all blessed by such a power packed congress. The CASA coordinator and his able men tirelessly did a good work for the success of the congress. Kudos to the National Executives, the Congress Committee, the CAC Media, the Delegates and the KNUST authorities for their splendid contribution to the success of the congress.
